Biography
Originally trained as a Zoologist I worked in the Veterinary Laboratory Agency Weybridge between 2000 and 2010, starting in the Laboratories before moving to IT in 2005 and working up to the site network engineer. After moving to the Private sector I spent a few years leading a network change management team working with severally large global customers before deciding I missed the science and personal side to IT you get working in the academic field and making the move back. Now at The Pirbright Institute in the Network Systems Analyst role, I look after the site network and its development during the construction and commissioning of several state of the art Biosecurity facilities to be used in our virology research.
